Aravo Spring 2013 Release Highlights

Complex Relationship Management

Aravo pioneered the ability to model unique relationships related to suppliers through its Business Relationship (BR) management structure. Using BRs, Aravo customers have built data relationship and tracking taxonomies for everything from products to compliance criteria, and linked these BRs to existing supplier/third party data records. As a result, BRs provide a powerful way to define, control and view disparate but related data.

With this product release, Aravo has taken BRs to the next level in managing complex relationships with the addition of Extensible Entities. Extensible Entities allow solution administrators much more flexibility in defining BR types and subtypes, each with their own extended attributes, lists and pages. The result is immediate benefits for FCPA, Conflict Minerals and other due diligence and compliance processes that demand robust data tracking around not only trading partner relationships, but around the individual compliance elements as well. Aravo Extensible Entities enable global organizations to have higher fidelity around the execution of independent compliance programs within a single supplier or third party. This model offers unparalleled support for securing the access and visibility to the entities and their data to enable global organizations to better enforce compliance with various international data privacy directives.

Aravo is the only SLM vendor to offer this level of configurability and flexibility in modeling and managing complex enterprise relationships. Advanced Supplier and Third Party Search

A core business process requirement of global sourcing, procurement and compliance management users is the ability to quickly and dynamically discover existing suppliers/third parties in the global approved vendor/partner lists. Enforcement of internal policies, reduction of maverick spend, and utilization of contract pricing all demand that users have a flexible and easy method for identifying these relationships.

Aravo’s new advanced supplier/third party search capabilities provide the tools necessary to identify preferred trading partners using a secure, configurable UI. Occasional users can rely on Aravo’s Simple Search that provides easy access to the most common search criteria. Power users can elect Aravo’s Advanced Search that allows the creation of complex search rules involving 60 different supplier/third party attributes. Regardless of the approach, every search applies Aravo’s industry-leading data security and privacy rules to the results. Best-In-Class International Data Privacy

Aravo’s enterprise-class data privacy framework helps manage the most complex and confidential supplier lifecycle processes for many of the world’s largest global enterprises. Enhancements to Aravo’s data privacy architecture and implementation are pervasive in this product release, and provide new levels of control across the solution suite. Aravo continues to deliver data security and privacy that meets all EU and global regulatory requirements.

New data privacy capabilities control access and use at the data element level in all areas of the solution, including in:

  • Data dictionary definitions
  • Restricted hierarchies
  • User and role profiles
  • Extensible objects
  • Advanced search

Intuitive User Interface (UI) Design

The continuing growth in the number and type of Aravo users, both inside the enterprise and at suppliers and third parties, demands that the UI be clean and intuitive for novice or occasional users, while retaining Aravo’s famous power and flexibility for the experts. Whether it’s solving procurement, finance, risk/compliance, legal or supply chain challenges, ease of use is critical to delivering value and promoting adoption.

Aravo’s new intuitive, configurable UI provides the optimum balance for each role in the organization. From simplified processes and single screens for common tasks, to drag and drop report creation and instant access to any required data, Aravo reduces complexity with a clear, flexible user experience.
