The company faced a serious potential problem with FCPA compliance and partner due diligence processes. Through creation of a rigorous best practice FCPA program, the company was able to significantly mitigate their exposure through execution of an enhanced compliance plan.
In addition to FCPA compliance, the company was also challenged with supplier management issues. The company was using a supply management system that relied on multiple attachments and manual forms to manage the supplier data necessary to maintain their procurement and legacy financial systems. The company also struggled with an outdated master data management process which required support for multiple vendor master data systems that they were unable to synchronize. As a result of these disparate systems, supplier information management remained in silos, and processes could not support aggregate corrective action planning and monitoring.
