Business Development Manager
Aravo is looking for a seasoned inside sales person for Aravo's Supplier Lifecycle Management solutions. This role will be a key contributor in contacting and qualifying Fortune 1000 prospects for our SaaS offering. Working closely with marketing, sales and product management teams, this person will make initial contact with targeted companies in conjunction with marketing and sales campaigns. Ideally, this position is situated either at the company headquarters in the financial district in San Francisco or in Dallas, and reports to Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Understand Aravo's value propositions and market messaging across key vertical industry segments including manufacturing, financial services, life sciences, and retail
- Work with the demand generation and sales staffs to identify target prospect lists and roles
- Assist in the development of a telemarketing script to be used to build interest and pre-qualify targets
- Conduct cold calls using the script to arrange for the desired call to action which could be to take a sales call, attend a webinar, or visit Aravo at an event
- Support sales in the conversion from pre-qualified lead to opportunity
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the telemarketing process and tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in telemarketing or sales in supplier relationship management applications such as e-procurement, sourcing, accounts payable
- Prior experience with any of the following would be a plus: supplier discovery, supplier on-boarding and management, supplier performance and risk management, supplier networks
- Proven ability to effectively contact prospects, drive interest and pre-qualify a lead
- Persistence in finding the right person to engage with at a target company, and the ability to continuously improve the process
- Proven experience in a fast-paced and highly collaborative start-up environment
- Candidate must be self-motivated, creative with a high-level of energy, and excellent interpersonal skills
