ARAVO APPOINTS ROBERT SHECTERLE AS VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING
25-Year Supply Chain Veteran Joins Pioneering Provider of Supplier Information Management Software and Services
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., August 23, 2010 – Aravo, the leading provider of on-demand Supplier Information Management (SIM) software and services, today announced the company has appointed Robert Shecterle as Vice President of Marketing. In this capacity, Robert will be responsible for driving Aravo's overall marketing strategy and execution, as well as leading all corporate and external communications for the company. With 25 years of enterprise marketing and solution go-to-market experience for supply chain solutions, Robert brings deep domain knowledge and a history of marketing success to Aravo.

Most recently, Robert served as Vice President, Marketing and Product Management at InfoNow, a channel performance optimization leader, advancing the company's overall strategy, marketing, and product design. Prior to InfoNow, Shecterle managed research practices at the Aberdeen Group for Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Management, Retail, and Sustainability, providing global market insight and analysis. He has also held executive roles in strategy, marketing, and product management at software companies such as Ariba, PeopleSoft, and Oracle, helping drive rapid revenue growth and new market expansion.
Robert began his career in management consulting at Ernst & Young, helping clients apply technology to solve strategic business process issues. He has been on the board of directors of the Supply Chain Council, and was named a "Pro to Know" by Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine. Mr. Shecterle holds a BA in Business from Loyola University, Chicago.
