| New Aon Survey Explores Supply Chain Risks |
| What poses the greatest risk to global supply chains these days? Financial failure. That’s according to 75% of respondents in a new survey conducted by Aon and State of Flux.
Interestingly, though, only 7% of those polled had actually experienced losses related to financial exposure of suppliers. By contrast, the top reported reasons for supply chain disruptions were physical incidents at own sites (14%) and incidents at suppliers (12%). |

| McKinsey Quarterly Explores Increasing the Energy Efficiency of Supply Chains |
This month’s edition of McKinsey Quarterly has a fascinating interactive report that explores a variety of strategies for increasing the energy efficiency of supply chains. | Focused on Supplier Risk Issues for Business Leaders |
| |
| I’ve spent the last 20+ years in and around supply chains as an engineer, software architect, supply chain manager, and most recently in senior/strategic management roles for companies like Monster Cable, Bechtel, DigitalThink, and currently Aravo. This blog is a way to voice my own concern and passion for supplier risk, draw attention to the good, the bad, and the downright scary, and hopefully drive some meaningful conversations and debate about the way forward. |
